The Seneca Falls Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit, local development corporation tasked with promoting economic development in the Town and Village of Seneca Falls. The SFEDC was recently formed as part of an effort by the Town and Village of Seneca Falls to be proactive in attracting and retaining local businesses and promoting local tourism.
The SFEDC Board of Directors is comprised of the Town Supervisor, Mayor of the Village, one town councilman, one village trustee, and three community members who live, own property or operate a business in the Town and/or Village of Seneca Falls.
The SFEDC would like to invite any interested individuals to attend an informational meeting on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 7:00 pm at the Seneca Falls Community Center on Water St. in Seneca Falls. A short presentation and a question and answer session will be conducted and the SFEDC By-Laws and Strategic Plan will be provided to attendees. Copies of these documents will also be made available for pick-up at Village Hall for 1 week following the presentation on Monday, May 21st for those who can not attend.
Interested individuals should drop off a letter of interest at Village Hall no later than Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 5:00 pm. These individuals will be contacted by the acting members of the SFEDC to set-up interviews. The three individuals who are selected will begin serving their term on Friday, June 29th.
This is a wonderful opportunity for local residents & business owners to contribute their talents towards developing our local economy and serve their community.
