Boating on the Cayuga-Seneca Canal
Boating on the Seneca-Cayuga Canal is an increasing popular pastime, you can launch your canoe from the Seneca Falls Recreation Center on Water Street, larger crafts can launch from Cayuga Lake Park Marina on State Route 89. Boat docking is available on the North side of the canal with additional docking coming on the south side in the spring. Docking is available in the center of the village from Mid April through Mid November free of charge. Water and electric hookups are available to boaters as well as a pump outs station. To make room for all our guests free docking at the Seneca Falls Harbor is limited a 48 hour stay.
Clearance for the canal system under the Village bridge (Ovid Street) is 16.8 feet. If entering from the Erie Canal or Cayuga Lake, clearance under Route 89 Bridge is 18. feet. For complete details and directions to navigate the locks use marine band radio frequency 13, or call 315-568-5797 for locks 2 & 3 in Seneca Falls, or 315-539-3242 for lock 4 in Waterloo. During normal conditions, clearance is guaranteed to be 15.5 for above 15.5 feet heights please check in advance
